Dear Writers,
We’ve made it!
It’s day 31 of our challenge. Our last day. Just enough time to squeeze in a few more pages. Or if you work hard, a few thousand words. It’s like the last 400 meters of the race. The sprinters are lining up behind their team, ready to swing out and race for the finish.
So, how did you do? Are you at your 25k? Just under? A lot under?
Chime in and let us hear from you! Don’t forget that tomorrow, voting begins for the Co-Host that helped you the most. They’ve got a big advertising package they want to win.
Even if you didn’t make your 25k, give yourself a pat on the back. And be sure to keep writing. I’ve heard that there’s a 50k in 30 day challenge going on somewhere on the web next month, for those of you interested.
Happy Writing,
Ally

Ladies it’s been a pleasure being part of the camaraderie and fun. I’m sorry I missed the first week or so, but I truly enjoyed the rest of the month.
You’ve all done very well! (Anyone name that show?)
Cheers and happy writing!
Isabel

I made 25,029 words as of 1:29 am this morning
There is alot left to work on fleshingout the characters, finishing up the solutions to all nice tidy manners. It might be a story with 3 parts
I kno win my mind I need lots of editing, but I’m happy that I made it:D
I never started a story with an idea of how I wanted it to be. WIth a definite plan. So thanks to y’all for setting up the challenge.
I’ve enjoyed cheering everyone on. I’m impressed with those who have met their goals. And even those who haven’t made the word count have made progress on their WIPs. Congratulations to everyone involved! :banana
Well, I finished with 25,029 on Monday. Since then, I’ve done a bit of editing but mostly I’ve set the story aside for a few days. I’m currently sitting at 25,210. I’m thinking I’m approximately halfway done at this point, since the book went and turned into a novel on me, lol.
I’m really excited to have finished this challenge. I proved something to myself. Even with the May craziness at the evil day job and a slow start, I still finished! Yay! :partyhat
Congrats to everyone that participated, finished or not. I had a great time cheering everyone one, and it helped a lot to have people rooting for me. :hug
Congratulations, Cassandra! :goodjob
That’s awesome Cassandra. Super duper Awesome!
Same for you Kathy. You two rock! :clap
:cooldance Kathy and Cassandra
:goodjob to everyone for joining in the challenge.
I’ve had a ball being here :laugh
About 10k and vowing to submit the story by the end of today.
I got to 29,447 words and am happy with that!
Excellent work, Linda! :wave
Veinglory – Good job! Ten thousand words is nothing to sneeze at! Step by step!!! :cool
Congrats to those who crossed the 25K line and congrats to everyone who accepted the challenge!! :clap
I ended the month with 19,125 words. I had good intentions of writing during my vacation, but somehow I forget to pack the intentions. :whistle
Happy writing!
Liz
Well I suck and I freely admit it. I’m at 10K or so. The good news is, after a nearly crippling case of writer’s block, I think I am over the hump. I have a road map for the story, so I finally now know where I am going, I’ve decided on a conflict and a resolution. I’m in Chapter 3 now with lots of notes for the rest of the book, and I have a full 30 days to make it to the 50K mark, which I have to do because that is my deadline with the pub. I’ll get it done, as usual, because I guess I really need a lot of pressure to buckle down. Maybe one day I’ll outgrow that tendancy. I hope so.
Cat
I sent my story in. I am pretty happy as although it was shorter is it finished and submitted. I am glad for the challenge to speed up my progress.
Good job, Liz! And Cat, I feel your pain. :cry Sometimes it IS hard work.
Cat, getting over writer’s block is a major victory. Don’t sell yourself short!
Isabel
:dance Linda, Liz and Emily!
And Cat, getting over writer’s block is hard work. You’re to be commended
Congrats to all that made it. I got stalled at around 9,000 words…but it’s more than I had before!
Marcy
Marcy, that’s the spirit! 9K words is nothing to sneeze at.
Isabel
Marcy, every single word counts so that’s great! :clap
Just to let you know that I made my target and delivered the book, despite ten days out for a holiday. Thanks for the inspiration, guys!
