Description: Did you know that prospective editors and agents sometimes make their decision as to whether or not to contract your work based on the first page of your manuscript? Some decide by the end of the first paragraph, and some even by the first sentence. Your book needs to start with a bang, a sure-fire hook to catch a reader’s interest. In this fun-filled, fast-paced workshop, learn the tricks of the trade for writing short-and-sweet, down and dirty first chapters that grab attention and don’t let go.

About the instructor: Sarah Reinke
