I was talking with a friend today and she was lamenting the fact that her story wasn’t progressing as quickly as she’d hoped.
My suggestion: just sit down and write.
I know what you’re thinking. Easier said than done.
But that’s not exactly true. You can’t wait for inspiration to strike. You must go out and grab it. Hang on to it. Use it. If you wait for inspiration you will never finish your book, article, screenplay. Take it from me.
The right time to write is right now.
Open your document and list five things that could happen next. Pick one and give it a go. You can always delete the crap. You can always edit. You cannot submit a blank page.
