After eighteen years of writing, submitting and garnering a plethora of rejection letters, I finally received my first publishing contract on April 20, 2005 from Loose Id. When I saw the e-mail I read it at least three times before it sunk in. Then I jumped up from my desk and danced downstairs to tell my husband the happy news. I’ll never forget that moment of pure unadulterated joy.
